General Information The mission of the TO Flyers XC team is to create a positive environment for youth to experience the sport of running, improve cardiovascular fitness, nurture joy and fun in running, and provide a safe environment for all athletes. The TO Flyers XC team will compete in the Valley Youth Conference for the 2022 season.
Registration Registration Cost is $80 for the season, which includes insurance and meet expenses. All coaching and TO Flyers administrative work is volunteer.
Uniforms We wear the same uniform top as the TO flyers track team. Black shorts should be worn for uniform bottoms. If the athlete does not already have a TO Flyers Track uniform jersey, and they want to participate in meets, they can purchase a uniform top for an additional $22.

Race Distances Gremlins & Bantams- 2k Midgets- 3K Youth & Intermediate- 5K
While encouraged for those interested in racing, there is no obligation to participate in races. Some participates may be more interested in the fitness and fun of practices only, and that is totally fine.
PRACTICES Practices start August 1st. We will have weekday practice from 5:00pm to 6:15pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Until races start, we will have weekend practice on Saturday mornings at 8:15am.
Meets There are 8 meets this season that are held on weekends. Meets start in Sept and run through Oct. We participate in the Valley Youth Conference (VYC). This conference hosts all meets. Information on meets can be found on the VYC website here.
Volunteers The TO flyers is a 100% volunteer organization. It is critical to the existance and success of practices and meets for us to have parent volunteers. All parents are encouraged to come to practie to help and/or participate, if able. Participation includes walking, biking, running or helping to cue athletes during drills and form work. If we do not have enough volunteers to keep the Gremlin age safe during practices, we may require parent participation for this age group. This is a great opportunity to get your workout in for the day, and make some incredibile memories with your child!
Email email@example.com with any questions on helping at practice.
Parent Meeting There will be a parent meeting in early August that introduces coaches, provides information for the season, answers questions and sets expectations for athletes, coaches and parents. We will post the slide deck to this presentation here for ongoing reference.
