Coach Rich Frank began his track career at age 9 with the Las Virgenes Comets Track Club. His track career continued through High School at Oak Park. Rich and the Eagles won the school’s first ever CIF Championship and Rich still holds three school records (100 meters, 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay). Rich also competed in track at the Division one college level attending the University of California Santa Barbara. After college, Rich was selected to represent the United States in the 1993 Maccabi Games in Israel.

This is Rich’s sixth year coaching for the Thousand Oaks Flyers. Rich specializes as a Sprint Coach building an athlete’s speed and strength. He focuses on sprint form, efficient relay hand offs and block starts.

Rich has earned his certificate of achievement for instruction in Youth Track from the LA84 Foundation.

Rich has two wonderful boys, Jeremy and Andrew with his wife Michele. Both boys run for the Flyers.
