February 2, 2001. Dirt is being removed from the west end of the track to lower it to the proper level. The physical survey of the land showed a discrepancy with the aerial survey results. An additional 5 inches of dirt had to be removed.

February 8, 2001. Removal of the old curb is partially complete.

Mud and Water

February 15, 2001. It rained this week and completely covered the track with water. Student Ian Nicholson commented "You could swim a 400". Workmen used a pump to drain the track. Here they hook a cable up to a dump truck to drag it out of the mud.
